The Riverside High School Melodic Fusion Boosters were organized to promote, preserve, and protect the general welfare of Riverside High School and Melodic Fusion Show Choir. The purpose of the organization shall be to raise funds, support the activities of the Riverside High School Melodic Fusion Show Choir, and to be a vehicle by which information can be imparted to members’ immediate families. The artistic portion (i.e., music, choreography, costumes, etc.) of the Melodic Fusion Show Choir shall be the sole responsibility of the head and assistant choral directors.
The Melodic Fusion Boosters, Inc., shall be a not-for-profit organized corporation duly recognized as such by the Kanawha County School Corporation and the State of West Virginia. To cooperate with those in charge of the Choral Music Program, School Administration, and the School Board to the end that this Department be brought to and kept at the highest possible degree of efficiency; and to build and maintain an organization which will help promote the general activities of the Choral Music Department.
The regular meetings of the Melodic Fusion Boosters are held in the RHS Choir room at 7:00pm on the First Thursday of each month from August through June to plan and discuss various activities. All parents with a student involved in the choirs are asked to attend the monthly meetings and be involved in the activities of the boosters. In addition parents are invited to take on leadership roles as they are able to help the boosters maintain functionality.
Charms Office Assistant is our main source of communication. We also utilize a Facebook group as a way to share pictures, videos and information. Our Facebook group is a private group and only associated members of our groups are allowed access it. If you are a current student or parent and a Facebook user we ask that you contact a member of the board to join our group if you are not already a member.
